Our cake designs are often inspired by art, nature, fashion and architecture.

Every wedding has its own distinctive style. And we make your cake to reflect the style of your wedding day. With our talent and expertise, we will share creative ideas to help make your cake, and your day, EXTRAORDINARY.

STYLE

Design is in the details. From colorful fresh flowers on a buttercream cake to our hand-formed sugar flowers on a rolled fondant cake,we will listen to you and to create your vision with your style. The more details, the better: fabric on a gown, just the right shade of pink in a flower, a favorite china pattern, what ever it is that is meaningful to you.

FLAIR

Jenny's Wedding Cakes isn't a mass production bakery. As such, I want the ability to maintain a boutique style bakery where the customers expecations are always exceeded.

My love for nature, textiles, fabrics, fashion, antiques, flowers, and art comes through in a feminine romantic way to make your cake a true collaboration and to make every single cake unique.

Our personal approach to being a part of a wedding is one of the aspects of our business that sets us apart.

ZEST

I could not have done the things that I have done with out an inner passion for baking and the creative spirit that goes into making something that is truly one of a kind.

You've always heard the expression "It's what's inside that counts." incorporating an element of surprise is an important part of making our creations more memorable. I love using lots of contrast like a toffee crunch inside a smooth espresso buttercream, tart whole raspberries inside a creamy champagne sabayon filling, or a sweet and salty caramel buttercream inside fresh banana cake with crunchy pecan praline.

ABOUT

Jenny

“My business philosophy is simple, the more you know your customer the easier it is to make them happy.  I am able to build relationships with my clients & their families by keeping my business small & personal.”

Along with drawing, painting and sculpting as a young child, I spent my time baking pretty things on a regular basis. I was obsessed with my idol Julia Child and would watch her shows as much as I could. I read any of her cookbooks that I could get my hands on. As a teenager I taught myself classic techniques of baking and pastry while continuing practicing my love of art.

One day as a young adult a high school friend asked me to make her wedding cake. I researched all the aspects of making wedding cakes, and I fell in love with the process. Making an edible sculpture out of butter and sugar? What could be better!

I formally studied business while simultaneously receiving requests for more wedding cakes and before I knew it I was officially in business. Since the beginning I've always concentrated on serving the wedding industry as I was intrigued by the high standards and did not want to be distracted by other markets.

When I'm not baking or making sugar flowers for a wedding I can be found working on my perennial gardens, restoring my antique home, hanging out at the gym, or enjoying some sunshine, music, and a glass of cabernet. I live with my two teenage daughters, my beloved cat and our Corgi dog.
